A Child Called It

As I've been reading this book, everything my friends and teachers have told me is true. So far David Pezzler has gone into detail about his life before abuse. His family seemed like any typical house hold. He talked about how his dad would be working and his mom would do the typical household chores. She always made plans and vacations for when his dad would return home from work.
Then he went into how it all changed. His mom began verbally abusing him, blaming him for things like her marriage. She would always make him feel like she didn't love him because she wouldn't treat his other siblings badly. He started to feel like he was alone and no one cared for him. To me this picture represents many families. There is not one family that's perfect but the love for one another is there; just shown in different ways.
